Is wood flooring eco-friendly enough today?
I’m researching flooring options for our eco-renovation and I’m trying to stay as environmentally responsible as possible. I saw that this wood flooring shop in Edinburgh uses FSC and PEFC certified wood and claims to follow eco-friendly production standards. Has anyone used them or something similar? I want to make sure I’m not just buying into greenwashing but actually getting sustainable materials.

Sustainability has become a huge factor in building projects lately, and rightly so. Certified wood not only helps with environmental goals but also adds value in terms of material traceability and health safety. More clients now specifically ask for FSC or PEFC materials. It’s not just a label anymore — it’s part of what people expect from quality flooring.
