Dr Danielle Kerley
I am a qualified Clinical Psychologist registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). Alongside my private work, I work in an NHS service based within Children’s Social Care, working to promote mental health and promote wellbeing among the entire family.

Most people have times in their lives where things feel like a struggle, and people come to therapy for a variety of reasons. My approach therefore seeks to explore not what is wrong with someone, but what has happened to them, and what sense they are making of their experience.

Whatever their circumstances, I am passionate about providing the right support to those who need it, as well as supporting individuals to recognise their own strengths and resources. I have experience of working both with adults and with children, young people and families, using an integrative and trauma-informed approach. My practice typically incorporates techniques from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (including ‘third wave’ approaches), Narrative Exposure Therapy and Systemic Therapy, among others.

Meeting with a therapist for the first time can be daunting, but I hope that my compassionate and relaxed approach will help you to feel at ease. I hope that you will come away from each session feeling as though you have been truly heard and respected.
Therapy can be offered on a shorter- or longer-term basis, depending on the needs of the individual. We would regularly review our sessions to ensure that they are still helpful to you.

I am currently able to offer weekend and evening appointments outside of typical working hours, either online or in-person.

Please do get in touch if you would like to discuss further.
