Dr Emma Sibbald
My name is Emma, and I am a Clinical Psychologist and Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist (CBT) with over 13 years of experience working with mental health difficulties within NHS services.
I have experience supporting adults, older adults and young people with a range of difficulties such as low mood, depression, worry, panic attacks, stress, social anxiety, low self-esteem, health anxiety, phobias, post-traumatic stress disorder, obsessive compulsive disorder and grief. I am also particularly interested in working with parents during the perinatal period and supporting the challenges that can be associated both with fertility, pregnancy, and the post-natal period.
I am keen to understand what you are going through and to support you to work towards your goals and develop tools and strategies to help you move forward. I use a range of therapeutic approaches including CBT, Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT), Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT) and trauma-focused CBT.
I understand that taking the first step towards therapy can be difficult and I am here to support you in that process. I look forward to hearing from you so that we can discuss your needs and think about the best plan for you going forward.
I am currently able to offer day time online sessions on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday
